Rob began his career in retail before moving into consultancy, where he specialises in helping cross-functional teams achieve more through better processes and teamwork. A firm believer in the power of simple technology to support teams, this passion has been a driving force throughout his career.
In 2018, while searching for a platform to support new product development processes at Arla Foods, Rob discovered Smartsheet. He describes this as the “lightbulb moment” of his career. That same day, he reached out to Smartsheet to join their Partner Programme and Cheetah Transformation was born.
Gary Thornton
Operations Director | Senior Consultant
Gary brings 30 years of operational leadership across retail, e-commerce and manufacturing, with a specialist focus on business transformation and management information. His strategic approach has delivered measurable results for major organisations including GAME Group, Amazon UK, and Wyevale Garden Centres, where his passion for driving large-scale change has consistently improved operational performance and competitive positioning.
Having successfully led critical departments across Supply Chain, Merchandising, Inventory Control, Profit Protection, and Data Governance, Gary brings a unique perspective, understanding how data quality directly impacts bottom-line performance and operational excellence.

Helen brings over 20 years of experience in retail and project management to her role as Sales Development Manager. Having led categories at Jessops, Clinton Cards and Best Buy, she combines a sharp commercial eye with deep operational knowledge.

Tim brings over two decades of digital delivery expertise to his role as Head of AI & Technology. Whether working with multinational corporations or public sector organisations, he has consistently helped diverse teams build strategic capabilities and deliver value through digital transformation.
At Cheetah Transformation, Tim leads the design and implementation of most complex Smartsheet solutions for clients, helping them improve efficiencies and integrate Smartsheet into their business processes. He works closely with clients to ensure projects run smoothly from discovery to delivery while shaping best practices in solution architecture.
Tim also leads Cheetah’s AI strategy and governance, dedicating time each week to exploring how AI can responsibly enhance Smartsheet delivery for clients. He drives Cheetah’s AI Usage Policy and its alignment with emerging standards, and regularly writes articles on related AI topics.
